***** 5 out of 5 Stars.
In his playing, these works are characterized by a flowing, almost weightless sound. It is a little as if the music has freed itself from the larger and thus supposedly or actually more sluggish corpus of the cello and takes off buoyantly on the violin...Across all six suites, Tomas Cotik presents a well thought-out and coherent view of this collection, which is a value in itself. But it does not stop there. Rather, a lively view is conveyed here, in which the listener can remain acoustically engaged without restriction and never tire of listening, which clearly demonstrates the artist’s knowledgeable and intimate engagement with the material.
