SOLO

Concertos and Solo Violin Music

In recent seasons as an international soloist, Tomas Cotik has had the privilege of performing violin concertos by Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Bruch, and Tchaikovsky, as well as Schubert´s “Rondo” and the “Four Seasons” both by Vivaldi and Piazzolla. An avid recording artist, Tomas has also recorded solo violin works ranging from Bach to Piazzolla. In March 2020, Centaur Records released his 2-CD SET recording of Bach´s Six Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin, an essential, and one of the most challenging, opuses of the violin repertoire. Previous solo projects include a 2015, Centaur Records release, which includes solo violin works by Telemann, Bach, Piazzolla, as well as the world premiere recording of original works by Franz Schubert. American Record Guide wrote, “you will never hear these Telemann Fantasias played so well,” as well as, “I enjoy the Piazzolla Tango Études more as played by Cotik than by anyone else.”.
